About Us

At its core, OpenLaw is a multi-module blockchain-based protocol and markup language to prepare, manage, and execute smart legal agreements. Using the OpenLaw protocol, you can seamlessly execute a range of commercial transactions by generating binding natural-language agreements, storing the signed contracts on a blockchain, and having those agreements interact with smart contracts written in code.

We are looking for a UX / UI Designer to design software and platforms that meet a programmer’s and legal professional’s needs. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX / UI and other technical projects is essential. Ultimately, you will make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers. You should be comfortable working in diverse development ecosystems and collaboratively within a rapidly growing team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand product specifications and user psychology
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Refining designs with illustration software
  • Using various colors, graphics, and effects to better convey each concept

Desired Skills

  • Strong core interaction design skills, knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, and a good understanding of usability.
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq)
  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role
  • Experience working within a remote-first and globally distributed team
  • Strong portfolio of design projects
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Analytical mind with a business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
